"Over time I realized that we – clinicians and school personnel – need to focus on the whole person and their overall development. If we zero in on absence as the expression of their concerns, we miss issues needing attention when empowering youths to fully profit from what school has to offer. Each school year brings unique challenges and opportunities. Our goal is to help youths, families, and schools understand the challenges and develop strategies to minimize the impact, thereby helping youths mature and thrive.
